We have completed over a hundred retail projects for clients ranging from local boutiques to international clothing companies. Our team is experienced in tight turnarounds and flexible schedules. We love to work with new brands to make a vision become reality
Fitting Room Area
Soft pink plaster walls are welcoming, especially with rounded corners, as in this Free People store in Minnesota.
We often develop more than one finish for a space, and can consult on transition moments suited to the overall design.
We have developed and applied plasters of many types for durable and beautiful residential walls — from gypsum and lime plaster, to natural clay plaster, to textural compound with paint effects. We can develop a special finish for any budget.
We loved applying tinted gypsum plaster to this timber-frame house in Massachusetts. Beautiful plaster can soften the look of walls and create a hand-hewn, hand-touched effect throughout the space.
Personal Library in Maine
We plastered this library in Maine with a one part base-coat system, where we compressed the base coat to bring up the “cream” and create a more inexpensive, faster finish that is still very hard and durable when it is complete.
Who doesn’t love a contrast? Some situations call for soft walls.
We can cover or create soft walls for your space, through curtaining, application of textile materials to the walls, or installation of panelling or pinboard with special finishes on the surface.
Structural elements can become focal features with the right treatment. This elevator shaft is now a beautiful design element with patchworked kantha quilts applied to the surface. Other walls in the office space are covered in layered muslin and gauze to dampen noise and soften edges.
Flexible architecture is just the trick and we can help source and construct just the soft room dividers for your space.
Sometimes you need a wall that moves. We’ve covered and decorated moving walls, and we could make one for you too.
Special statement walls are a good way to get a lot of bang for your buck. We recommend a very special luxury finish behind a hostess at a restaurant, in a lobby or common area, or an entry wall into a bigger space.
These walls impress a client or guest, without stretching your budget too far, by focussing an impactful design moment in a highly visible spot.
Backdrops and lay-flats are so helpful for photography, whether you’re a full-time professional needing a nice vignette for a portrait, or a small business owner creating content for social media, or a floral designer documenting work at an event. Easy to pop up, shoot against, and pack back up, you can create an instant vibe that’s on-brand for you.
We’re working on a special collection of backdrops for sale and rent in our online-store, but until then we’re developing custom backdrops for customers all the time. Please reach out!
